The article considers the problem of calculating the cost of implementing virtual desktops in the activity of the educational organization. The introduction of desktop virtualization leads to the appearance of many effects in the functioning of the enterprise: financial, technical, social, organizational. There are different methods of calculating costs, the article considers the cost method of calculating costs, proposed the structure of the main costs that arise when implementing a desktop virtualization project. The capital and operating costs have been calculated, and the savings from the implementation of the desktop virtualization project have been determined.
